Cucumbers, Beets, and Peas are Here!

Happy June! Read our monthly newsletter for notes on what is bringing our team joy, a cucumber salad recipe, a food access partnership, and more!

June at Trillium Hill Farm

June is one of the months that we look forward to (and prepare for!) all year long. It's when our field crew arrives in totality, it's the first full month of our Growing Season CSA, and when those veggies we all know and love start to show up (peas, cucumbers, beets, and sometimes even tomatoes by the end of the month!). And so June comes with a lot of pressure to execute, but also a lot of joy.

Some of the things bringing us joy in June:

🍓 Strawberries from Full Belly Farm (pictured above!)

🍦 Strafford Organic Ice Cream (the crew is especially fond of this amazing treat after a hard, hot day in the field).

🥫 Meg (our Farmstand Extraordinaire) is making jars of sesame-soy marinated radishes, which are bringing her taste buds great joy!

🧀 Lazy dinners comprised of cured meats, crackers, crudité, and cheeses.

😊 You! Our farmstand customers and CSA members who swing by with a smile on your face and kind words about our vegetables. Thank you for your vote of confidence in us!

Food Access Work

We are proud to partner with the Intervale Center's Food Access Program, which provides local produce to the greater Burlington community free of charge. Hannah, the Food Access Manager, comes to our farm with volunteers several times a year to harvest crops that we will not get to or we don't have a market for. We're proud to be part of this awesome program and spread vegetable love around the county.

Good Meat Club

We have space in our meat CSA! Good Meat Club is our monthly meat CSA that provides top-quality, grass-fed, pasture-raised, and locally sourced meats. By partnering with Vermont’s regenerative farmers, we deliver healthy, delectable cuts and offer cooking tips to enhance your culinary experience.

Choose from two sizes and enjoy convenient monthly pickups at our farmstand. Flexibility is key—you can skip a month or cancel

A Recipe for you:

We hope June is filling you up with joy and good food!
